Drilling Deep: Getting young people into trucking nice and early

Lindsey Trent is the president of the Next Generation in Trucking Association, founded just last year. Her group works with high schools and trade institutes to steer young people toward a career in logistics, whether it’s as a driver, a diesel mechanic or some other area.

She joins host John Kingston on this week’s edition of Drilling Deep to talk about the work her group is doing and how the association is making its pitch to the nation’s young people.

Also on the podcast, Kingston talks about a recent report by an analyst that the increase in the price of diesel compared to crude and gasoline is the result of some permanent factors and isn’t necessarily going to disappear.
