Boston’s and Baltimore’s big investments in their ports pay off

On today’s episode Dooner and The Dude are talking to two Northeast ports about their growth and expansion.

Conley Terminal has nearly completed $850 million in infrastructure investments and is welcoming four new direct services to the Port of Boston. Lauren Gleason, deputy port director of business development at the Massachusetts Port Authority, tells us all about how the port got big ship ready and how it will help American shippers beat congestion.

The Port of Baltimore is the nation’s largest importer and exporter of automobiles and high/heavy farm equipment. In Maryland’s economy, the Port of Baltimore generates nearly $3.3 billion in total personal income and supports 15,330 direct jobs and 139,180 jobs connected to port work. William Doyle, executive director at the Maryland Port Administration, brings us inside this crucial cog in America’s supply chain.

Chaos rules the day in rail right now, but that’s not going to stop FreightWaves Editorial Director Rachel Premack from celebrating her birthday. We’ll find out why trains are off the rails.

Back The Truck Up’s Rooster and SuperTrucker let us know if AB5 protests will enter a third day in Oakland, California. Plus, breaking down the coolest truck simulator you’ll ever see.

And we’re joined by special guest co-host Curtis Garrett, who talks LTL and his next role.
