CAUSES TO SUPPORT THIS #GIVINGTUESDAY

From Black Friday to Cyber Monday, this time of the year is marked by consumerism. To help the world renew its focus on the true spirit of the season, the Giving Tuesday movement was established in 2012 with a simple mission: setting aside a day to do good.

Throughout 2021, we’ve directly donated $100,000 to organizations in support of mentorship programs, medical breakthroughs, climate action, and more. This Giving Tuesday, we’re reflecting on some of our proudest moments this year — and inviting you to join us in lending your support.

PROTECTING FRONTLINE WORKERS AROUND THE GLOBE

When our friends at PRIMED — a leading Canadian manufacturer and supplier of personal protective equipment (PPE) — pledged to donate a mask from every Canadian to frontline workers around the world, we stepped up to see the masks safely packed and distributed.

Working with the non-profit Global Medic, we assisted in the distribution of 38 million masks to nations in great need of PPE. In Asia, 20 million masks are dedicated to India’s continued fight against COVID-19, with other masks going to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Syria, and Yemen. In the Caribbean and South America, masks were distributed to the Bahamas, Dominica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana, and more.https://www.youtube.com/embed/nPhbS3FcNKU?feature=oembed

HELPING MIRACLES HAPPEN

A highlight of our year was the annual Caring for Kids Radiothon, a day-long event where 21 inspiring young patients shared poignant stories of the care they received at Montreal Children’s Hospital.

We’re proud that our sponsorship supported the Foundation in raising more than $1.3 million to fund the care of children like Nadine, a toddler who is now thriving after receiving prenatal treatment for a rare form of congenital heart disease.
